Backup & Recovery

Keeping Your Data Safe

Backing up and Recovering ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems is a critical aspect of maintaining data integrity, security, and business continuity. erp2 incorporates effective and affordable backup and recovery solutions to ensure:

  • Data Protection
  • Business Continuity
  • Regulatory Compliance

ERP systems contain sensitive and critical business data. Regular backups protect against data loss due to hardware failures, cyberattacks, or accidental deletions. In the event of a disaster (natural or man-made), having a reliable backup ensures that the business can quickly recover and continue operations.

Many industries have regulations that require businesses to maintain data backups for compliance purposes.

Backup

erp2 offers several types of backup solution, which can vary depending on your chosen SLA (Service Level Agreement):

  • Full Remote Backup
  • Real Time Redundancy
  • On-Premises Backup

A Full Remote Backup takes a complete copy of all data in the ERP system. This is the most comprehensive and usually takes place on an automated daily basis and is used to protect against compromises of data integrity.

Real Time Redundancy is a real time copy of all the data, on-server that mitigates against hardware failure.

erp2 provides for the ability for a local administrator to take an offline backup of data to perform an On-Premises backup if required by regulation or company policy.

A robust backup strategy for ERP systems is essential for protecting critical business data and ensuring operational continuity. Organizations should assess their specific needs, regulatory requirements, and available resources to develop an effective backup plan tailored to their ERP environment. Regular reviews and updates to the backup strategy are also important to adapt to changing business conditions and technological advancements.

Recovery

In the event of data loss due to user errors, erp2 can restore ERP system data (full or partial) to a previous state using backup data by selecting the appropriate backup version and executing a restore operation. Effective recovery minimizes downtime and data loss, allowing businesses to resume operations quickly.

Regular testing of backup and recovery procedures is crucial to ensure that data can be restored accurately and efficiently, safeguarding critical business processes and information.
